So we went there early in the morning like 8 o'clock and monks were gathering there for prayers. There were so many monks all over here. This place is so serene and has a Beauty of its own Tibetan culture. Temple structure is so unique and beautiful ❤️. Mask is still mandatory here. Good facilities like lifts and multiple staircases to reach upper level. View from here is also top notch. Must visit.

It was a quiet area even though there were many people. In the complex, there were different temples such as one with a chair and a picture to resemble His Holiness the Dalai Lama. Outside, there were circular bells that made you feel calm when you spun them. The scenery was phenomenal and you could spend ages looking at the other side of the mountains.

A must visit place when in McLeod Ganj. Very calm, clean and well maintained. One can spend hours sitting here meditating or listening to humming of monks or enjoying the beauty of the place or gazing at the mountains and valley with ropeway cabins floating by.

My recent visit to the Dalai Lama Temple left a profound impression on my mind and soul. Located in [insert location], this sacred place exudes a serene and spiritual ambiance that invites visitors to immerse themselves in a world of tranquility and contemplation.Upon entering the temple grounds, I was immediately struck by the sense of peace that enveloped the area. The beautiful architecture, with its intricate details and vibrant colors, added to the ethereal atmosphere. The temple's design is a testament to the rich Tibetan Buddhist culture and its commitment to harmony and reverence.Inside the temple, I had the privilege of witnessing the devotion and prayer rituals performed by monks and devotees. The melodious chants and the rhythmic sounds of traditional instruments filled the air, creating an enchanting and meditative ambiance. Participating in these rituals was a humbling experience that offered a glimpse into the spiritual practices that have been cherished for centuries. The highlight of my visit was the opportunity to witness the teachings of the Dalai Lama himself, if available. His wisdom and compassion are truly inspiring, and being in his presence was a transformative experience. The Dalai Lama's teachings are rooted in love, peace, and understanding, offering guidance that transcends cultural and religious boundaries. The temple complex also houses a museum and exhibition area, providing insights into Tibetan history, culture, and the life of the Dalai Lama. This is one of the oldest buddhist monastery.. it is religious center in Dharamshala and one of the most attractive place for tourist. It is meditation center and you will find many monks studying and learning. It is very peaceful place. The temple is very large in stature and is maintained very neatly. This temple is a two-floored complex. There is magnificent idol of Lord Buddha in a seating position. No ticket is required to enter the temple. It is very close to ropeway station at Mc leodganj. Ropeway connects Dharamshala to mc leodganj and is very convenient. If you have small kids and elderly to roam around with you in Mc leodganj then i would suggest take your car or taxi, (if you have already hired) from dharamshala to Mc leodganj or if you can roam around on foot then better take ropeway. It’s convenient and saves time.

The monastery/temple could be better developed as a tourist attraction. It’s one of the main attractions of Mcleodganj but there are no easy ways to learn about the tibetan culture despite being the center of power of tibetan govt in exile. The temple was clean but not quiet. It was hard to feel at peace with all the tourists making a commotion at the place of worship. Hope the authorities improve the state of affairs and give this place the respect it deserves.

We visited the Dalai Lama temple on 14th Feb 2024. Located in the Mall road market, this place is serene. As soon as you enter, you feel a sense of calm and peace. When we visited the place, there was some worship going on by the monks who reside there. It was surreal to view it. There are 2 floors with the temple. The views around are mesmerizing. Any time spent here is less. The surroundings are clean. Well maintained. Recommended to visit this place by default.

Very serene environment, excellent Darshans of Buddha and a place to spend some time. It's very well maintained, clean and organised. Also happy to see that they do not put restrictions on cameras etc. Also, there is no specific dress code for visiting this place. The approach however is through narrow streets. While we had driven down to McLeod Ganj all the way from Bangalore but within McLeod Ganj we hired a cab for the day because finding a parking is next to impossible and also the streets are very narrow. Near this temple complex I did see a multi storied car parking but not sure if it's open for general public.
