We are a chemical company that produces and supplies solutions to a wide range of industries.
We manufacture and supply synthetic rubbers, styrene plastics, plant protection products and dispersions and latexes to companies around the world.

We operate internationally
We have production plants located in Poland, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Germany and France. This is where we manufacture and then distribute our solutions – even to the most remote parts of the world.

How we reached this stage - the history of Synthos
1945
the Synthetic Fuel Factory is established in Dwory. The beginning of the history of the chemical plant in Oświęcim.
2004
Dwory S.A. debuts on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. Michał Sołowow acquires shares in the company. The announcement of a new stage in the company’s development.
2007
acquisition of the Czech company Kaučuk a.s. producing rubber in Kralupy. The SYNTHOS S.A. capital group is formed.
2008
installation start-up and production of XPS boards – a new product in the Synthos Group portfolio.
2016
acquisition of expanded polystyrene production facilities located in France and the Netherlands. Synthos becomes the largest manufacturer of EPS in Europe.
2020
Synthos launches the first industrial photovoltaic farm at the plant in Oświęcim. The company’s energy transformation process gains momentum.
2021
acquisition of synthetic rubber plants in Schkopau, Germany. Synthos rounds out its product portfolio with technologically advanced styrene-butadiene rubbers and becomes the world’s no. 2 rubber producer.

Awards and distinctions
Innovation Diamonds 2022
We won the prestigious Innovation Diamonds 2022 competition, receiving an award for a company that successfully introduces high-quality innovative products and technologies for the chemical industry. The jury distinguished a new eco-product from the company’s portfolio, Synexil® SAB 05 styrene-acrylic dispersion intended for the production of ecological construction chemicals: e.g. paints for children’s rooms or for allergy sufferers.
Synexil® SAB 05 meets the strictest standards for low-emission products.The organizer of the Innovation Diamonds 2022 competition is the Executive Club. The jury of the competition was composed of independent experts who, by voting, selected the winners from such sectors as chemistry, energy, finance, industry.
Apollo Global Partner Awards
We earned recognition in the prestigious Apollo Global Partner Awards program. We have received the APOLLO GOLD PARTNER AWARD in the Quality Champion category in recognition of our significant contribution to the economic partnership.
Top Industry Diamonds
We are among the companies that have been awarded the Top Industry Diamonds. These awards were given during the Top Industry Summit 2018 conference. The citation for the award states that Synthos is a company that considers innovation as the main tool for competing for the market and achieving a competitive position. Additionally, the company strives to develop new, innovative products and file more patents.
Its innovative approach was presented through the implementation of the InVento X project, the aim of which was to start the production of modern expandable polystyrene. Based on its experience, the company is systematically expanding its product portfolio and investing in the construction of new manufacturing facilities.
Pirelli Supplier Award
The Pirelli global tire corporation maintains a ranking of its best suppliers. Synthos S.A. has also been included among this group several times. Pirelli selects the winners from amongst 12thousand suppliers from all over the world. It does this based on objective criteria, including: sustainable development, quality, service quality and innovation.
Badge of Honor of the President of the Council of Ministers
We have been awarded the Badge of Honor “For Contributions to Inventiveness”. This distinction has been awarded by the President of the Council of Ministers in recognition of special contributions in the area of inventiveness. The award ceremony took place during the Polish Patent Office 100th Anniversary Gala.
Badge of the Ministry of the Economy
We have received a Badge of Honor for Contribution to Polish Economy Development that is awarded by the Ministry of Economy. The award ceremony took place during the 2nd Scientific Conference “Late Modernity Manufacturing Engineering” organized by the Management and Manufacturing Engineering Institute of the State Higher Vocational School in Oświęcim in cooperation with the Association of Chemical Industry Engineers and Technicians, Oświęcim Branch.
Economic Patriotism Index
This prestigious award is granted by the Rzeczpospolita editorial office and the Economic Patriotism Foundation. It is awarded to companies that have made a special contribution to national development and economic patriotism without avoiding their obligations towards the country and society. Synthos has won the Economic Patriotism Index twice in a row.
